Michael is a top producing seasoned real estate agent in Texas. He was also the all-time highest producing rookie for Leslie Cain Realty. Michael specializes in representing rural land sellers and buyers. His expertise includes unimproved land, investment properties, timberland, ranches, farms, horse and recreational properties. In addition to his real estate sales experience, he is well versed in land and soil improvement, timber management and the development of cattle operations.
A living example of the American dream, Michael's childhood was fraught with the rigors of his family's pig farm in Troup, Texas. His enthusiastic involvement in FFA resulted in a Gold Star Award from 4H. Michael continues the practice of land stewardship that was established on his family's farm in 1856 that endures to this day. Michael joined the U.S. Army after graduating high school, serving a tour in Iraq in 2004 and in Afghanistan in 2007. He served his country as a U.S. Army Drill Sergeant in the Reserves with the 95th Division and honorably retired in June of 2022.
As a skilled petroleum landman since 2008, Michael specializes in complex acquisitions from title issues, heirship, complex negotiations to large acquisitions. Most recently, he managed the creation of a 24,000-acre position in the Eagleford formation that resulted in a $285M sale to a publicly traded company. In his career in the oil and gas industry, Michael has been personally involved with more than 350M in acquisitions and divestitures.
Although Michael's character and morals are entrenched in the traditional values of times past when a handshake was a binding agreement, he wholly understands the need of today's technological advancements and utilizes them to ensure that his clients are fully protected while keeping the process simple and smooth.
Michael and the love of his life, Amanda, withstood a military deployment and a quest for a nursing degree to forge a lasting, blessed union. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Texas in 2012. After years of loss and infertility, Michael and his wife were blessed with two beautiful girls, Kennedi and Everly. In 2014 the family acquired a 95-acre active cattle farm, where they live today along with a very long list of dearly loved animals.
